There are over 1 million elderly and sick people in Israel– alone, facing terror, fear and uncertainty.
We owe these people support and reassurance in these terrifying times.
We at Life’s Door have mobilized our “Hope Responder Volunteer Initiative” to reach out to EVERY person in need.
We are working in collaboration with leading social service organizations in the south and across Israel.
The “Hope Responders Volunteer Initiative” of Life’s Door recruits, trains and connects volunteers to make outreach phone calls to seniors in need. The trained volunteers work under the supervision of professional staff to assess immediate needs as well as to offer reassurance, support and hope.
We have added 90 volunteers this past week and aim to add 150 more in the coming weeks.
Currently, the social service systems are crashing from overload. We are here to meet this need.
What you can do:
1) Volunteer- If you speak Hebrew, Russian, French, Spanish or Amharic- Join our Hope Responders training
2) Donate so that we can fund the staffing needed to continue this critical initiative throughout these terrifying days of war
