

Life's Door Research Institute

Study within the Institute focuses on research and development of concepts that can lead to innovative models for approaching life threatening illness. Interns studying at the center will work collaboratively with the scholars, thereby promoting a vibrant community of learning and academic exchange.

A recognized expert, serving as Director, shall spearhead the Life's Door Research Institute. The Institute also will host scholars in residence from the disciplines of Medical Science, Philosophy, Theology, Sociology, Psychology and related fields of study. The Institute will provide a platform for hosting quarterly lectures which will be open to the general public. The institute plans to publish a quarterly journal, featuring the works of Life's Door scholars and other contributors.

he Library offers comprehensive resources including books, journals and other written publications dealing with issues of illness, end of life, bereavement and spirituality. It houses an expanding collection of multimedia resources.

The Library will also be the development center for The Life's Door Testimonial Media Collection. This archive will be an ongoing project of Life's Door. Taped interviews of individuals facing various stages of serious illness will be collected. These interviews will be available for study and inspiration.
